Military Selection Training Plans

What makes our Tactical Training Programs different?

  • These Plans Are Not “Cookie Cutter”: Each program is geared for the individual soldier. This allows for a fully customized plan that will fit YOUR needs. It usually takes up to 72-96 hours for your program to arrive after we exchange emails/phone calls. If you buy a program that shows up instantly in your email…is it really geared for you specifically no matter what it says?
  • The Plans are Designed by a Professional: Our Co-Owner Geoff most recently spent 2 years working within the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach within the THOR3 Program, at the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) at Fort Bragg, NC. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Weightlifting Advanced Sports Performance & Club Level Coach, a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and a Certified Athletic Trainer. Geoff has worked in a variety of roles including work within Division 1 Collegiate athletics, the private sector as well as with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) where he had the honor of first working with 10th Special Forces Group out of Ft Carson, CO in 2009. He since has been helping Special Operations soldiers for the past 7 years by individually designing training plans, as well as helping transition soldiers out of Physical Therapy to a full-duty return while working in the THOR3 Program. He has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from Syracuse University and has helped train and rehab numerous athletes across all domains of sport and life. • These Plans are Periodized For Optimal Performance: All of our plans are periodized, programmed and designed to allow for rest/recovery and optimal performance enhancement. Nothing is random. There is a rhyme and a reason when it comes to the design of these training plans. One of the worst things that you can do is arrive at your selection or school injured, broken or over-trained. Yes, sometimes you have to train hard, it comes with the territory, but that doesn’t mean train hard and stupid. The goal is to be in your optimal shape and physically perform to the best of your abilities when the day arrives. These types of plans have helped dozens of soldiers take their career to the next level by heading off to selection stronger, faster and more well rested then they ever have been. So when the unforeseen presents itself (because it will) you will know you are in the best possible shape physically to crush it and keep moving forward.
  • The Plans Enhance Your Strength & Endurance: Our programming has a bias towards improving your overall strength. At the end of the day the stronger person will typically win most battles of speed, power and endurance. More strength leads to improved performance, maintaining and increasing lean muscle mass and decreasing the likelihood of injury. But in all seriousness, having strength will help you more than it would ever hurt you. We train smart and will also focus on your Endurance work. The last thing we want to do is turn you into the soldier in the gym that can out lift everyone and then go get smoked on the run and the ruck. Physically you will be a force to be reckoned with no matter the task. Whether its a 20-mile ruck or dragging your friend in full gear 100 meters to safety.
  • These Plans Focus on Injury Prevention: No matter the selection you are training for, our #1 goal is Injury Prevention. It benefits no one if you get hurt, which is why your plan will work to improve your weakness’ and enhance your strengths. With Geoff’s rehabilitation background as an Athletic Trainer it has allowed him to transfer those techniques and strategies to his Military Selection Training Programs. We will utilize a multitude of exercises to optimize you for today and set you up for success tomorrow. Mobility and Stability are some of the primary causes of injuries to the Tactical Athlete. We will focus on improving both. Here’s the thing, everyone can get mobile and everyone can get stabile. It just takes time and effort. Like we previously said, showing up hurt, broken and over-trained will not benefit you in the least bit. Now is the time to train as smart as possible, your career depends on it.
  • The Plans Emphasize Core Conditioning: We want your core to be as strong as possible. But it is also important to have a highly conditioned core. Being able to max your APFT Sit-ups is not having a strong core. Yes we will have you prepared to crush your sit-ups but our programming will reflect the necessity of being as stable as possible through your midline. And that doesn’t just happen by throwing a bunch of sit-ups at you. The core moves in every plane, hence it should be trained in all of them, both statically and dynamically. Your core flexes, extends, rotates, bends, resists movement, provides stability, distributes force, absorbs force, I can go on forever. Have you ever seen a tree with a really skinny trunk and enormous branches? No, because it would break in half and nature wouldn’t allow it to exist. And that my friends is survival of the fittest.
  • The Bottom Line: If you are ready we are ready to help you. If you have questions, we are here to answer them. These are not “cookie-cutter” programs sold to everyone that can click a computer mouse. We can talk on the phone or exchange emails before to discuss your needs. When you have questions after you start we are here to help trouble shoot and keep the ball rolling. To learn more about our Military Selection Training Plans and to get in touch CLICK HERE.
